What we do

Thousands of hours of video since EVTV began at Pukatja in 1983. Productions today screen on ICTV.

Audio and text translation between English, Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara, in house.
Communities
From Umuwa, the 5NPY signal reaches the communities and homelands of the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands. Each place has its own page.

Our story
PY Media had its genesis in community television EVTV (Ernabella Video and Television) in Pukatja in the early 1980s and the sideband radio network that served the region. Umuwa was established in 1991 as the administrative centre of the Lands, and PY Media was born and housed there.
Since then it has broadcast across the Lands in Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara, the language of the people, and recorded thousands of hours of song, dance and story.
Work with us
Training sessions are held at PY Media every month and are open to all Anangu interested in a career in media. Government, agencies and organisations use our translation and recording services.
